Multi-part travel necessaire/toilet box from the Victorian period, ca. 1890. The box is made of wood, inlay of metal on the lid with the initials of the owner. Lined inside with red velvet. Six round vessels, two oblong ones; all have a metal lid with the initials A.A.C. By means of two small metal handles the front part can be lifted out. Sewing utensils are stored underneath. Mother-of-pearl handles. The travel toilet bag is well preserved. A few tension cracks in the wood. The red velvet is stained in a few places. The small key for the box is missing.
