One of the most beautiful and greatest skirt lifters we have ever had. From the 1880s of the Victorian era. Probably intended for an opulent ball gown with a long train. The skirt lifter, stamped Surprise, is covered on the outside with a beautifully designed metal piece. This is fixed in the middle of the skirt lifter with a small hinge - and therefore foldable in both directions. The clamps and also this metal part are marked with "Fyfe's Patent". The skirt lifter is attached to a bangle worn on the wrist with a silver chain. In very good condition. One of the round end caps is missing from the ring.
