RÉAUMUR Corset Box, ca. 1905

French corset box from the company Réaumur, ca. 1905. “À Réaumur" is a former department store, which was located in the 2nd arrondissement of Paris, 82 to 96 rue Réaumur. It opened its doors in Paris in 1894. The box that comes from this department store is moderately good to well preserved. Clearer signs of age and wear. A badly bumped corner. Nevertheless very decorative and rare. Corset boxes without corset are difficult to date. The box could therefore be older.
