If this corset came from England, it would have been worn in the Regency period. If it came from France it would be an Empire corset. However, it comes from America, which makes it even rarer and more valuable. It comes from the collection of Doris Raymond. It is made of cotton fabric. Beautifully decorated with cord applications. Eyelets made of bone, which facilitate the lacing in the back. Sleeve for the corset busk. Two eyelets in the chest area to lace the corset busk (so that it does not fall out). In all our years as collectors, we have never had a corset of this type in our hands. Today, that has changed. Very, very rare. Very well preserved. One stain on the front side. Replaced laces. The corset búsk is not included.
