Not infrequently, the very valuable dresses were - in the truest sense of the word - sleeveless during the rococo period. Sleeves could be tied up depending on the dress and the occasion. This was also the case with these sleeves, which were probably intended for a children's dress because of their size. A thread and sequin embroidery can be seen on grey silk. On both sides. The front side is embroidered more opulently. Open cuff area decorated with cream silk. This is laid in small pleats. Lined inside with printed pink silk. Excellent condition. Only part of the border in the cuff area has come loose. This can be sewn on very easily. A rare find.
