Lovely plaster bust of a classical maiden/a young girl with a hairstyle typical of the Biedermeier period. Signed A. Carli, No: 1527. Carli, Auguste, Henri, Born in Marseilles 1868, died in Paris 1930. He studied under Cavelier & Barrias, exhibited at the salon des Artistes, winning a scholarship & various medals. He specialised in busts, small figures & groups. Condition is very good, with two very small scuff marks. Approx. height 24 inches (62 cm).
