Very rare bag made of raffia, from the late rococo period, ca. 1790. Portrait medallions have been carved out of coloured raffia threads on both sides. Woven bast handle. Lined inside with silk from the 18th century. At the edge decorated with small glass beads. Well preserved. It is a miracle that this bag is still there. The bast threads are somewhat dishevelled in some places. One fastening loop is broken. Nevertheless: beautiful and very rare.
