Paper maché Handbag or Hand Box, ca. 1890

Original Victorian era handbag / hand box made from paper maché, with two leather handles, an unlined interior and a flower relief on the cover. Good to very good condition with its metal closure in working order. Only the original purple colour has faded. Remains are still under the cover. Rare to find in this condition.
