Antique summer dress made of thin cotton, ca. 1912, origin: America. Made in the style of a lingerie dress. These dresses get their name from the material used. They are called ‘lingerie dresses’ or ‘lingerie dresses’ because the materials used (cotton and light lace) and decoration techniques (lace, embroidery, piping) were originally used for petticoats, chemises and other forms of lingerie. These dresses were mainly worn by younger women.
White embroidery and openwork/lace, an inlaid breast insert, darts and short sleeves adorn this distinctive dress. Back fastening with hooks and eyelets. In very good to excellent condition. The jewellery is not included.
