Very nice lilac dress from the Belle Epoque period, ca. 1901. The antique dress is a two-piece consisting of top and skirt. The skirt is made of thin wool; it ends in a small train; decorative panel in the front; gathered waist area (especially on the sides and back). The top is made of silk; bust part made of tulle, which is pleated; ¾ length sleeves (also decorated with tulle); high stand-up collar; belt made of color-matched silk; decorative elements made of color and white sequins and black velvet; refined sleeves; small bows at the neck. The skirt has many moth holes - hence fair condition. However, they are hardly noticeable when draped. The top is in good condition; a few tears in the silk. A beautiful dress with an exceptional color.
