Antique-Gown

Dark teal silk satin bodice, 1880s. With smocked and gathered teal silk patterned satin, band collar, long plain sleeves, and center front covered button closures. Unlabeled. Good conditon. The fourth button down is losing the crocheted cover and the bottom hem of the back peplum panels has some small holes along the edges. The bodice has moderate soiling throughout the interior, mostly under the arms, the collar, the shoulders, and waist, with the underarm soiling showing through to the shell. The front jacquard panels have some dark spots on the front left chest. The decoration is not included.
