A fabulous find - a pair of beautiful antique shoes dating around 1920, still in their original box (box timeworn; without picture). They have beautiful silk bows and enamel gilt buckles studded with diamante paste stones (a few of these are missing). The shoes are in very good condition - the box declares them to be Size 4 (UK). They are 25cm long and 7cm wide at the widest measured on the leather sole. They have Louis heels (described on the box as Military Heels) and are lined with kid leather. The soles show signs of wear, but the heels are not worn out, and there is only slight tarnishing to the tips of the toes and a little rubbing to the gold and silver metallic thread in places. They are embellished with chestnut silk banding and silver and gold lid leather cutwork. The box with original label for Freeman Hardy Willis, Rutland Street, Leicester. Quite beautiful. The decoration is not included.
