Sleeveless red Dévoré velvet evening dress, ca. 1926. Design House: House of Worth (French, 1858–1956). V-neck, the blouson bodice decorated in crystal beads and rhinestones, dropped waist, hip sash gathered into pink silk and metallic gold flowers, full wrap skirt with side streamers, attached silk under dress. Provenance: Metropolitan Museum of Art. Gift of Mrs. Robert S. Kilborne, 1958. Very good condition with a few flaws: Some bead losses, under dress bodice tears and repairs. The decoration is not included.
