The antique dress is a cream velvet dress with long sleeves and embroidered lace lower sleeves and cuffs, round neck and drop waist detail, lace handkerchief detail to the skirt, bearing makers label, long detachable cream velvet train with wax flower applique, cream chiffon lining and decorative chiffon edging, cream silk plaited head piece with net mount and wax flower mount, net veil and photographs of the wedding party (in copy). Worn by Miss Katherine Acer for her wedding to William Stewart Russell on Thursday 20 September 1928, at Christ Church Cathedral, Montreal, Canada. Both bride and groom were members of the Anglophone Society that managed most of Canada's industry and trade at the time. Very good condition. One open seam (on the side), which can be easily repaired. Wax flowers on the train need to be sewn on. The silk undergarment is torn in some places. The decoration is not included.
