Three-piece walking dress from the Titanic era, ca. 1912. Provenance: Valentine Museum, America. The ensemble consists of a jacket, skirt and blouse insert. The jacket and skirt are made of black velvet. The jacket is trimmed with fur: on the collar, on the cuffs and around a medallion that adorns the front of the jacket. There are soutache appliqués around the medallion and four hanging tassels. The skirt is tight-fitting, which is typical of a skirt from this period. The blouse insert is made of lace and decorated with six black buttons. In very good condition. Subtle signs of wear. The black pearl necklace is not included.
