Two-piece afternoon dress made of cotton, ca. 1904. Origin: America. The antique dress is a two-piece consisting of skirt and bodice. Both parts are decorated with hand embroidered pink dots - in different sizes. The bust is nicely decorated with ruffles. Small collar. Three quarter length sleeves. Wide, embroidered cuffs. The skirt is stitched in the waist area, so that it falls in folds. Good condition. Unfortunately the dress has some rust spots. But these do not diminish the very authentic and distinctive appearance. A slightly larger stain on the back of the skirt. A repaired spot in the top (on the back). For draping we used a petticoat. The petticoat, the belt and the jewelry are not included.
