Beautiful summer dress, ca. 1913. Schiffli embroidered cotton tulle in floral motif bands and wandering vines. Plunging neck line with gathered tulle net. Schiffli net lace embroidered bands applied across bust, short lace sleeves and tiered layer on skirt. Full skirt with three tiers of plain tulle, trimmed at edge with satin ribbon and top layer embroidered with foliate tendrils and florals and scalloped at edge. Inner light beige colored satin lining in skirt. Waist has a wide pleated layers of satin fabric accented with light blue velvet trim. Extensive hook and eye back closures. Bodice and skirt lined in netted tulle. Inner floral net tulle decorated with 4 ribbon work flower sprigs. In very good condition. Small tear breaks in the lace netting on bodice shoulders. Some storage yellowing to tulle at hemline. The decoration is not included.
