Two-piece summer dress from the Edwardian period, ca. 1903. The antique dress is a two-piece dress. It is made from a thin, printed cotton fabric. Pattern: light blue flowers and leaves on a light background. High neckline made of bobbin lace or rather crocheted lace. This lace is continued as decoration in the chest area. Additional hanging tassels made from the yarn are attached here. The sleeves are also made from the same crochet yarn from the elbow upwards. Hanging chest, which is decisive for the dating. Sleeves with two cascading flounces. Ruffled bust section. The skirt is gathered at the waist. A blue ribbon serves as a belt. Three rows of ruffles at the hem of the skirt. The skirt ends in a train. Petticoat attached to the skirt. It is decorated with an all-round lace band. The antique dress is in very good condition. The top of the collar would need to be sewn on with a few stitches. Tiny abrasions in the fabric of the skirt; these are hardly noticeable. Can still be worn carefully today. The decoration is not included.
