Elegant reception dress, ca. 1901. Origin: France. Made of black and cream silk with a bow motif. We had a similar dress years ago - but in the color red. This one looks more elegant just because of its color combination. The antique dress is a two-piece, consisting of a bodice and a skirt. The bodice has a hanging chest, which is typical of dresses of this period. Long sleeves. Chest insert made of black and cream lace. Indicated cuffs made of black silk. The skirt ends in a small train. Two large rows of flounces are processed in the hem area. Wide band of black lace running around. Good to very good condition. One open seam in the area of the bust neckline. In this area, the lace also has minor flaws. The decoration is not included.
