PARIS HOUSE Coat, Luton, ca. 1912

Elegant evening or opera coat in pink cashmere wool, ca. 1912. English label: Paris House * Luton. Luton is a city in England, located north of London. Today rather known thanks to the airport London-Luton. The coat is closed on the inside with a hook and button and on the outside with a big button. It is made in the style of a cocoon coat, in which you literally wrap yourself up. Raglan sleeves (sleeves whose upper seam runs diagonally from the armpit to the neckline, forming one piece with the shoulder part). In the front part of the coat and on the cuffs three-dimensional appliqués made of the same fabric. Black velvet-covered buttons on the shoulders and cuffs. Lined with cotton on the inside. Well preserved. The coat has several small and tiny holes. Discreet signs of wear. The decoration is not included.
