A beautiful lingerie dress, ca. 1908, origin: America. These dresses get their name from the material used. They are called "lingerie dresses" or "lingerie dresses" because the materials used (cotton and light lace) and decoration techniques (lace, embroidery, tucks) were originally used for petticoats, chemises and other forms of lingerie. These dresses were mainly worn by younger women. And they were almost always white in colour.
This dress is made of thin cotton and is lavishly decorated with white embroidery at the front. Lace inserts. Small train. Long sleeves. The dress was worn with a very tight-fitting underdress. This has caused a few tears in the underarm area and at the back. The fabric has become thin in the belt area. The decoration is not included.
