Black silk faille with metallic gold brocade, ca. 1913. American label “Farquharson & Wheelock, 724 5th Avenue, New York”. Gold lace sleeves & under dress beneath black silk tulle. Gold lace also in the chest area. That’s typical for the pattern from Farquharson & Wheelock. A dress in the „Museum of Fine Arts“, Boston, shows the same fashion detail. The dress has a long, pointed train with loop. A big dancing and walking help. Very good condition with a few flaws: altered to be smaller, lace mends, gold brocade worn in places. Part of the lot is a shawl from the same time. Excellent condition. The decoration is not included.
