One piece cream net wedding or bridal dress with princess lace appliques, ca. 1908. American label: „Mrs. R.F. Dempsey, Maple Ave, Morristown, N.J. (New Jersey)”. Princess lace was introduced at the end of the 19th century in Belgium. It is reputed to be called Princess lace because the Belgium Royal Family used it. This dress has a blush silk satin bodice band, sash & hem trim, embroidered blossoms with silver bead & pearl trimmed bodice. The skirt has a train and a beautiful skirt bow on the front. Very good condition with a few flaws: Some stains on the train, two cracks in the lace of the silk in the bust area, the silk underskirt is shattered in a few places. A very beautiful and unique wedding dress. The decoration is not included.
