A beautiful, one-piece evening dress made of Chantilly lace and sky-blue silk, ca. 1914. The antique dress comes from the Valentine Museum, America. The blue silk sections hanging down the sides/back as two panels are striking. These are beautifully hand-embroidered with a color-coordinated floral motif. In the chest area, these blue sections are designed in the style of a vest. High waist, almost reminiscent of the fashion of the Empire period. Generous neckline and back. Shimmering blue lace over silk in the skirt area. Indicated belt. In good condition. Minor tears in the blue panels. The silk of the inner dress also shows minor tears. The decoration is not included.
