Three-piece evening or ball gown, circa 1903. Parisian label: "Rue des Mathurines, Aline Buzenet, Paris". The elaborately worked top is typical for a ball or evening dress: semicircular chest, open neckline, embroidered with glass pins, decorated with tulle, rhinestones and lace. Waist belt decorated with embroideries at front and back. In addition to the evening top there is an insert that covers the free neckline. The blouse insert was worn during the day, under the bodice. The skirt is - compared to the bodice - kept simple. Made of white silk. A hint of silk tulle - like an overcoat - is pulled over them. The skirt runs in a train. Very good to excellent condition. The insert has one spot, a few holes and tiny spots. The applications on the back of the waist belt show slight embroidery fading. The decoration is not included.
