Short coat made of beige felt, ca. 1905. Origin: America. Coats and jackets made of felt were pulled over the going out clothes in bad weather. They protected from wind and weather. Possibly this was even worn for hunting. The arrangement of the buttons and the cut reminds of the military clothing. However, this has always been the case in women's fashion since Queen Luise of Prussia. Imitated military fashion styles were modern and fashionable.
Integrated shoulder cape, front closure by means of buttons, high stand-up collar, inside lined with silk, small inside pocket - these are just a few features of this coat. Very well preserved. 2-3 tiny moth holes. Still good to wear today.
