Art Nouveau Reception Dress, ca. 1906
Black can be so elegant! Here we present a one-piece reception dress, made in the manner of Art Nouveau, ca. 1906. Made of black silk. The top is richly decorated with trapunto embroidery that has been sewn on a net. Decorated with pompons that keep the chest and shoulder area "in motion". Most of the pom poms are missing on the right shoulder. High stand-up collar. Chest insert of cream and black lace. Long sleeves that are pleated. Lace cuffs. Trimmings in the area of the forearms, indicated knot-dot buttons. The skirt ends in a small train. In the hem area decorated with silk appliqués, trimmings and hanging pom-poms (one pom-pom is missing here as well). The antique dress is in very good condition. The decoration is not included.
