Elegant, two-piece reception dress, ca. 1899. Origin: France. Made of black silk, lace and tulle. Jabot in the chest area. Decorated with breakthrough work in various designs. Long sleeves, high stand-up collar. Light-colored lace at the collar and at the sleeve ends. The top closes with hooks and eyelets. The skirt is closed with press studs. The top is lined inside with light cotton fabric, the skirt with glazed and black cotton fabric. The skirt ends in a long train. Very well preserved. Minor tears in the hem of the skirt (probably the wearer stepped on it) and in the tulle of the jabot. The overlapping part of the top is lined with light silk on the inside. This is partly worn out. The decoration (incl. belt) is not included.
