Very rare pregnancy or maternity dress, ca. 1890. Origin: America. According to the way it was made, the dress is a home dress, which was not intended for the looks of outsiders. The dress is made of royal blue satin. Is a one-piece, but tailored to give the impression that it consists of two parts. Breast insert made of cream silk. Pleated "snipe". The sleeves (underarm) are made of the same silk. Ruffles at the neckline and cuffs. The hem of the dress is pleated. The skirt falls in a bell shape. Very good to excellent condition. Stains in the breast insert, but they can be hidden very well. Decoration is not included.
