Two-piece dinner dress, ca. 1895. Rare label from Breslau: Julius Henel * formerly C. Fuchs * Hoflieferant. On advertisements from the period it often says "of many courts". On the label of this unique antique dress are four coats of arms of European royal houses. Among them the Prussian royal house and Austrian imperial house. His name appears on lists of KuK and Prussian court suppliers. We have found many advertisements by Henel, but we have never seen a dress by him.
The dress is made of red velvet. The bodice is decorated with red ribbons of embroidered glass beads. Typical gigot sleeves for the dresses around 1895. Front closure by means of hooks and eyes. Stand-up collar, which - like the cuffs of the long sleeves - is decorated with an original white tulle. The bodice is decorated with corset stays on the inside. The skirt is kept simple. It ends in a train. Inside pocket in the skirt made of red silk. Excellent condition. Brooch and watch are not included.
