Jeanne Hallée (1880–1914) was a French couturière who was known for delicate creations of silk chiffon and lace. To the dress: taffeta having an overlay of embroidered tulle, boned boatneck bodice with long, sheer lace sleeve, decorated with satin ribbon and wired bow to one shoulder, slightly trained skirt having alternating wide vertical bands of plain and embroidered tulle. Good condition with a few flaws: faint stain on one sleeve, a lot of splits to taffeta skirt, some browning of tulle. Provenance: Metropolitan Museum of Art, New York. The decoration is not included.
