Antique-Gown

Elegant day dress, ca. 1900, origin: America. The antique dress is a two-piece dress consisting of a top and skirt. The top and skirt are made of a beautifully patterned silk. The bodice is decorated with cream-coloured lace in the neck and bust area, which is pleated. Decorated with black lace in the bust area and on the cuffs. Black velvet belt. The top is in very good condition. The inner lining silk requires some sensitivity in handling. The shoulder fastening of the cream-coloured breast insert shows a small, internal defect (which is not visible). The skirt is pleated at the back (in the waist area). Decorated with a wide band of black lace. This lace is torn or missing in some places. This is also reflected in the price. But the lace is still there - and so the dress is in original condition. The silk is in very good condition. Brooch and chains are not included.
