Antique-Gown

With this dress we are inclined to say: The highlight of 2022 - and so early in the year. When we talk about the dress, we always talk about the "rose dress". Long-stemmed roses have been woven into a black silk satin ground. Pink, red and gold roses adorn this exquisite antique dress. The dress is a two-piece. The skirt is decorated with two large black bows in the front. In addition, there are ribbons with black beaded embroidery. Small train. The top has chartreuse (greenish-yellowish hue) silk in the bust area, which is decorated with black lace. This chartreuse silk has also been used as lining of the sleeves (partially visible). High stand-up collar decorated with fine beaded embroidery, lace and looped fringes. These fringes are also placed at the bottom of the top and above the hook and eye closure. The black lace outlines the bust neckline and adorns the half-length sleeves as long cuffs. The dress is in excellent condition. Very, very minor beading loss; lining in underarm area is stained; inner waist band has some wear; extremely subtle signs of age and wear. Decoration is not included. A museum piece that is unparalleled.
