What a graceful and elegant dress! It captivates with its simple elegance! But in turn... The antique dress is a two-piece consisting of top and skirt. Label on the waist band. The fashion house didn't even bother to center the label. It is addressed to Cooper & Co, New Bond Street. Skirt and top are made of a royal blue velvet fabric. The skirt flows out into a small train. The top has ¾ length sleeves that are tapered and decorated with lace. Front closure by means of a silk bodice (with hooks and eyes) completely covered by lace. The lace is closed with strings (on one side the string is missing). Semi-circular neckline. Two decorative buckles made of polished steel. Beautiful darts on the sleeves. Small peplum. Exterior in very good condition. Minor shading in the velvet fabric. Interior: the light silk in the bodice is worn at the neck. The skirt is missing the inner lining. Fragile waist band. The heavy linen fabric that gives the skirt its heaviness has been attached to the skirt by previous owners. The decoration is not included.
The set also includes a royal blue silk satin fan decorated with handmade Maltese lace on the upper edge. In good condition. Signs of age and use, lace on the cover stick slightly dirty and loose.
