Antique evening dress, ca. 1896. Label: Mrs. E. Bulphin. The dress is made of ribbed yellow silk. A refreshing appearance. The dress is a two-piece gown, consisting of a bodice and skirt. The top is embroidered with glass bead applications on the front and back. These applications make the top very heavy. It closes in the front - with hooks and eyes. Large puff sleeves. V-neckline. Moderately good to well preserved. The silk of the two gigot sleeves is shattered - due to storage. The left sleeve is more affected than the right. A few discreet stains in the skirt. Overall light signs of age. The damaged areas on the shoulders can be almost entirely hidden in the folds of the massive sleeves. Still: a very nice dress, in a rare color. Smaller size. The decoration is not included.
