Black damask boudoir robe, ca. 1898. Origin: America. The pattern on the damask is arranged like feathers of a bird. Pleated bust and back. The long sleeves are also pleated in small folds. Discreet train with an implied watteau pleat. Inside pocket. Interior lined with pink silk. Waist band of the same silk. The gown is in very good condition on the inside, good to very good on the outside. A few, little rubbed areas on one sleeve. Storage creases in the silk. An antique garment from the Victorian era that can still be worn today. The decoration is not included.
