Four pairs jewelled flapper Shoe heels, 1920s. In the 1920s, there was a craze for women’s shoes to have lacquered heels covered with diamanté and paste. Wood shank with pearlized celluloid overlay, decorated with yellow and white rhinstones. They are in astonishing good condition with no beads missing. It is easy to understand why these heels were kept. The craftsmanship is superb and the rhinestones sparkly as diamonds. There are collections of similar shoe heels in museums around the world. The decoration is not included.
