Edwardian Cream Silk Wedding Dress, ca. 1911. Provenience: Private Collection of a Shropshire Lady. On the photo: Isabella May Mitchell. She married Lawrence John Hibbert on 14 October 1911. She was 27 years old at the time. The lot comprising elbow length sleeves mounted with cream lace and appliqued with pearls and cream velvet trim, a net bead and pearl applique modesty panel, faux wrap bodice, high cream velvet waistband with silvered trim and matching bow to the reverse, lower part of the skirt open to reveal lace mount, detachable long cream silk train with cream velvet trim and wax floral appliques, together with a cream velvet, silk, silver fabric and a photograph of the bride (copy, not original). Very good condition. The decoration is not included.
