This rare Edwardian coat from circa 1906 is a beautifully preserved example of antique fashion and historical clothing. Made from dense wool broadcloth in a refined cream shade, it features the original maker’s label A. Defenburg, Philadelphia, highlighting authentic early 20th‑century American tailoring. The coat showcases luxurious panne velvet, ornate passe‑partout trim, and distinctive two‑layer pagoda cuffs, making it an exceptional piece for collectors of Edwardian outerwear, stylists, and museums.

The front closes with brass buttons set with glass inlays (one historically replaced), while the interior is lined with smooth satin silk. Despite its age, the coat remains in very good condition, with only minor signs of wear such as tiny holes and small tears in the silk lining at the collar and underarm—typical for antique garments of this period. The coat can still be worn carefully today, offering a blend of authenticity, historical elegance, and sustainable vintage fashion. Decorative elements shown in photos are not included.
